We're bringing you a correction from yesterday's ENews.

Spring Clean-Up Week is March 26 through April 6.  The actual period for setting out items is considered March 19 - 25 in order to ensure that items are at the curb when the trucks start collections on Monday, March 26. 

It is important to note that the trucks only come through your neighborhood once.

Residents are limited to eight cubic yards of material to be disposed of.  Eight cubic yards represents a pile six foot high, six foot wide, and six foot deep.

If you have items that may be of use to someone else, you are encouraged to call the Salvation Army at 1-800-SA-Truck or the Goodwill of San Antonio at 924-8581 or any other organization of your choice that accepts donations.

The Leon Valley City Council at a Special Called Meeting held on Monday, February 27, 2012, ordered a Special Bond Election to be held on the next uniform election date of May 12, 2012 to allow the qualified voters of the City of Leon Valley to consider the following proposition ballot language:

"THE ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED $7,000,000 OF CITY OF LEON VALLEY TEXAS GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR DESIGNING, ACQUIRING, CONSTRUCTING, IMPROVING, RENOVATING, DEMOLISHING, EXPANDING, AND EQUIPPING A PUBLIC SAFETY AND SUPPORT SERVICES COMPLEX."
