Hope & Healing e-Newsletter

Hey there!   Tami

So, how's your head feeling today?

This month's newsletter is all about headaches. Why? Because that's where I've been for the last two months!

I've suffered with chronic headaches since I was a kid. In fact, when I was in high school I went to see a neurologist because I was experiencing daily headaches. (He said, "There's nothing wrong with you. You're perfectly normal, you just have headaches all the time." Um... what about that is "perfectly normal"?)

Below you'll find Part 1 of a blog post titled, On Headaches, Gluten, and FibromyalgiaPart 2 will be coming shortly.

This month's tip and fibro fact are both about headaches too.

Enjoy some Hope & Healing this month!

PS... Think of one woman who told you recently, "Oh! My aching head!" and to her. She will definitely thank you for it, whether she has fibromyalgia or not!

"Promise of Hope" by Wayne Bricco
Promise of Hope, by Wayne Bricco

"Until you get your own hope,

borrow theirs from.

~ Mary, Why Cherry Blossoms...?

I just received this testimonial from Christine, a client I started working with this spring.

When I first met Christine, my heart went out to her as I realized how much her idea of "normal" had shifted.

I see this so often.

We get so used to our particular levels of pain that after enough time we forget what it's like to not have that constant companion of pain. We get used to making accommodations for our fibromyalgia.

I particularly see this in strong women, like Christine. (grin) Strong women are used to doing things for other people. It doesn't matter their professions. I see it just as often in business women as I do in stay-at-home moms.

Here's what Christine had to say about working with me after just six weeks:

Working with Tami gave me hope for healing for the first time in years. My fibromyalgia has been very chronic throughout my life and Tami's gentle way of listening and supporting me helped me realize how much discomfort I had been tolerating.

With her guidance, I've been able to acknowledge my challenges and build a support team that is helping me with the special care I need for well-being and peace of mind. -- Christine

Would YOU like some hope for the first time in years?

You can have the same results that Christine and others have seen; I can help. Schedule a time for us to chat. I guarantee it will be worth your time.

Wonder what we'll talk about? Story Sharing Chat & Consultation info is here.

You could also start by taking the Gentle Goal Setting for Fibromyalgia & CFS class. That's the first thing Christine did with me. It's an easy way to test the water and see if working with me is a good fit for you!

I do a lot of goal setting in my business - and this workshop wasn't like any of the goal setting I've done before. -- Julie

I was procrastinating going to the health goal workshop to begin with, but after getting there and talking with the people there, I felt good about the decision. Talking about your health and your health problems can be a touchy subject. After the meeting I was glad I went. -- Ken

I have to say that Tami made setting some goals and achieving them a lot easier. Knowing the steps to take to reach the goals I want to do in life. Thank you so much for the webinar, the help, and the tools for setting goals. -- Lisa

Migraine Relief

As I've been dealing with my recent migraines, I've been running across all sorts of tips.

Here's one that actually works:

When you feel a migraine coming on put the base of your head on ice and heat up your hands and feet. The trick here is to do it BEFORE things get bad or it won't work.

An easy way to do this is to use some ice packs for your noggin and some heated slippers and gloves for your hands and feet.

If you get particularly cold while using ice packs, putting a heating pad on your belly works wonders!

Fibro Facts

47% of Fibromyalgia Patients Have Frequent Headaches

The most common complaint for fibro patients is chronic, widespread body pain.

Would you believe that the second symptom on the list, right after low back pain, is frequent headaches? It's true!

The National Fibromyalgia Association found that 47% of fibro patients surveyed listed frequent headaches as one of their symptoms.

Chronic fatigue, something that many of us think as more common, was only listed by 40% of those surveyed.

Managing your headaches better will result in lower overall pain. Let's chat about how I can help you do that!
