Hope & Healing e-Newsletter

Greetings!Tami and Bear

Did you miss me? Did you notice that there was no newsletter in July?

July was a rough month at our house. We lost my 15-year old cat, Bear, on July 1st to cancer. This led to adopting Max, who we lost 12 days later, then adopting Sam on the 30th of July.

Sam is healthy & fine today, thank goodness! You can visit my Facebook page if you'd like to see pictures of him. He's very handsome!

Enjoy August's Hope & Healing newsletter - yes, I know I'm sending it in September. I have fibro too, you know! Next month's should be on time, God and fibro willing!

PS... Think of one woman who told you recently, "I wish I had more energy! I'm tired of being tired all the time!" and to her. She'll be glad you did!

Healthier Home, Healthier You

Sunday, September 25th at 3 PM

Shaklee logoI'm so excited to be able to partner with one of the People I Love to Work With to bring you this event! Missy Baxter will be sharing how a healthier home can lead to a healthier you.

Chemical sensitivity is often one of the symptoms that fibro folks suffer from. That plus our usual fatigue makes cleaning the house NO FUN. Shaklee's cleaning products are free of all those nasty chemicals and perfumes and they really work. At our event, Missy will even be collecting any toxic cleaners you wish to toss and dispose of them for you properly.

More details will be coming, but mark your calendars now! Come have some clean, safe, green FUN!

Celebration of Hope
"Promise of Hope" by Wayne Bricco
Promise of Hope, by Wayne Bricco

"Until you get your own hope,
find some people who you can
borrow theirs from.

~ Mary, Why Cherry Blossoms...?

This month's "Hope" is a new client, Coyleen, who started with me in July. She has fibromyalgia that typically manifests in fatigue more than pain.

During her initial consultation, her daughter-in-law expressed how much it would mean to her and her kids for Grandma to have the energy to really be able to enjoy her grand kids.

Just two weeks ago, Coyleen went to visit the kiddos. Not only was she  20 pounds* "narrower," according to one of her granddaughters, but she was up and around at 9 AM each day! She even beat her daughter-in-law downstairs in the morning!

Here's what Coyleen had to say:

"I've been getting up at 9 AM for a couple of weeks. Also, I went to a three day quilting retreat and was there for 12 hours/day the first two days and only 8 the 3rd but that was when they kicked us out, I still had energy. The year before I decided not to attend a quilt class because it was 6 hours long and I knew I wouldn't make it through the entire class."

Do you want to have more energy to enjoy what YOU love?

Take a health assessment here. Then, schedule a complimentary consultation with me. You can have the same results that Coyleen has seen; I can help.

Schedule online now

* Results will vary. Typical weight loss on the program is up to 2 to 5 lbs per week.

Feeling Beautiful is Empowering

Marla McNichols, Premier Designs Jewelry
When asked, "what do you do to feel better in a fibro flare?" I thought, "dress cute!" As my friend Marla says, "feeling beautiful is empowering." When I look cute, I feel sassy and not as bad. I've invited my friend Marla McNichols, from Premier Designs Jewelry, to share how she uses jewelry to help boost women's confidence and show us that "feeling beautiful is empowering!"

Tip of the Month

Prolytes
Do you ever feel lightheaded, dizzy, or just "not quite right?" Think electrolytes!

Those of us with fibromyalgia often have issues with our electrolytes being out of balance. Drinking plain water actually makes this problem worse.

While we do need the electrolytes, we sure don't need the extra sugar and artificial colors found in electrolyte sports drinks! Prolytes are a great option because they contain the electrolytes only and you can add them to your own water, protein shakes, juice, etc.
