Hi, My name is Ethan, and I am 4 years old...
I am usually a happy and hyper boy. But, if you look, you will see that I'm a little different. But, that's OK. When I was an Infant, I met all milestones on time, and then around 15 months something happened. I lost all speech that I currently had, and then began to bang my head, rock, have tantrums, and outburst as well as limited eye contact, and social play.More |
| Grandview's Van Modification Fair - October 2 |
|
"We are so happy to have recieved our modified Van", said Ricky, Parent of Andre Grandview Client. "Now that my son is 13 it us not as easy as it used to be to lift him in and out of a van. My wife and I would always have to be at the same place at the sametime to make sure we didn't hurt ourselves lifting him in and out, so we never took any long trips. Our new van has changed our lives and made it easy for us to leave our house."
The Van Modification Fair will be on October 2, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 2p.m. at Grandview Children's Centre, Oshawa. View all types of van modifications. More |

It was modeled after the Sick Kids Bravery Beads Program; and allows participating clients, to choose a bead to represent every 'poke' they've received at the Centre's Muscle Tone Clinic. More

| October is Occupational Therapy Month |

The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in meaningful activities which give purpose to their everyday lives. In children this can include play, printing, cutting, getting dressed, feeding, hanging out with friends, household chores and participating in school. Sometimes physical, social, institutional and/ or environmental barriers may get in the way of a person's ability to participate in everyday activities. More |
