Breaking News - BRAG Route Confirmed
The 2012 BRAG route has been confirmed. The dates are June 2 - 9, 2012. The ride will begin in Fort Oglethorpe with overnight stops in Dalton, Jasper, Roswell (layover day), Winder, Mt. Airy (Cornelia), and end in Tiger (Clayton).

Located just 4 miles north from the end of the ride is Historic Downtown Clayton, featuring great food, great shops, wonderful places to stay, and lots of entertainment.
All the towns are gearing up to make the 2012 BRAG ride the best one ever. The ride information is located at http://www.brag.org/brag2.html along with registration information. You may now register by check. Download the registration form and mail to the BRAG office along with your check. Registering by VISA or MasterCard will be available on our website next week. Good news. There is no credit card processing fee this year!

Frankie's Ride to the Border
BRAG, Southern Bicycle League, Georgia Bikes, Bike Roswell, Frankie's Italian Restaurant, PowerAde, Atlanta Bicycle Campaign, and New Belgium's Brewery are sponsoring a bicycling social event and ride to kick off the 2012 cycling season and to celebrate Frankie's 8th Anniversary in business. The date is Saturday, March 31, 2012, Noon until 3 pm, at Frankie's Restaurant in Rockmart, GA, just off the Silver Comet Trail. Frankie's is offering free bread sticks to all attendees. New Belgium is providing Fat Tire Beer to participating adults. Optional AYCE pizza for only $7.00 if you purchase before March 26, 2012. Mail your check made payable to FRANKIE'S to BRAG, P.O. Box 871111, Stone Mtn., GA 30087. Optional pizza is $10.00 on-site at Frankie's. Bring your ID. BRAG is donating free PowerAde. Mark your calendar now to attend.

BRAG 2012 Early Bird Registrants
If you are an Early Bird registrant for BRAG and need to add a bus ride, jersey, t-shirt, etc. to your registration, download a registration form. You do not need to complete the entire registration. Simply put your name on the form, add the words "PRE-REGISTERED," and we will match it with your original Early Bird registration. Mark what you need, include a check or your VISA or MasterCard credit card number, expiration date, billing zip code, and signature, and mail to BRAG, P O Box 871111, Stone Mountain, GA 30087.

BRAG 2012 Decals
Come ride BRAG 2012 with us and BRAG a little by placing a BRAG 2012 decal on your car. If you want one for your car(s), please send an email to Vicki@brag.org. Include your U.S. mailing address in your email. If you want more than one, be sure to tell us how many you want. Get enough for everybody in your bike club.

The BRAG Centurion Club
Spring is just around the corner and riding your bicycle will become a top priority for you. Start thinking about becoming a member of the coveted BRAG Centurion Club. You can do so by riding the three century rides during the Spring Tune-Up Ride, April 21, in Madison, BRAG on June 6, in Roswell, and the Georgia BikeFest on October 13, in Columbus. Make plans now to earn your Centurion Hat in 2012.

BRAG WinterRide 2012
The BRAG WinterRide was held February 21-26, 2012, in St. Marys, GA. Everyone had a wonderful time riding their bicycles in St. Marys and Fernandina Beach, spending the day hiking and biking on Cumberland Island, and canoeing or kayaking the Okefenokee Swamp. Spring Tune-Up Ride
 Mark your calendar now for the 19th annual Spring Tune-Up Ride, April 20 - 22, 2012. Ride information and registration is located here. There will be various mileage options each day with a fully-supported Century Ride on Saturday. The shower truck we had at Georgia BikeFest in Columbus will be at the Spring Tune-Up Ride. Happy Hour at Variety Works, featuring Fat Tire Beer. Roswell Bicycles will provide technical support for the weekend. Georgia Rides to the Capitol
Georgia Rides to the Capitol, Tuesday, March 27, from various locations around town. Come join BRAG at 9:15am at the gazebo and liberty bell parking lot in downtown Stone Mountain. Sawnee-Burnt Mountain Century Challenge
The 7th Annual Sawnee - Burnt Mountain Century Challenge will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Cumming, GA. The Cumming Kiwanis Club invites all cyclists to this exciting charity event benefiting the club's Sponsored Youth Programs. This ride has 25, 44, 75 & 100 mile options. The 75 & 100 mile options climb Sawnee & Burnt Mountains and are designed for experienced cyclists only. This is a great BRAG training ride. Online registration through www.active.com. Tour de Blue
Join riders on the Tour de Blue Bicycle Ride, Saturday, April 28, and help promote prostate cancer awareness. The ride leaves from the Birmingham Bicycle Company in Birmingham, AL. Pine Tree Breeze Bike Ride
The Pine Tree Breeze, Saturday, April 28, is a charity bike ride which benefits the Herrington Homestead, located in Emanual County. It is one of five locations for the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes. Atlanta Streets Alive
Atlanta Streets Alive, our open streets event showcasing fun options for healthy, active living, is coming up again this spring. Our event will take place Sunday, May 20th from 2-6 pm on North Highland Avenue in the Virginia-Highland, Poncey Highland, and Inman Park neighborhoods. We'll transform streets into temporary recreational spaces with activities including dance, yoga, martial arts, and of course, running and biking -- all on pavement opened up for people.
