SUMMERRIDE 2010 Fun was had by all who
attended the SummerRide this past weekend in Dalton, GA. There were a few brave souls who
completed the century ride on Saturday, July 24. Some century riders were training for triathlons, or
striving to complete 3 BRAG centuries for the BRAG 2010 Centurion Club hat, or
simply achieving a personal goal. For whatever reason, they were all successful and here are the photos to
prove it!

Georgia BikeFest
will be returning to Tifton, GA, October 15 - 17, 2010. The Tifton Recreation Department will
be the overnight site during our visit.

Dream Team Alumni Underground Railroad Bicycle Tour
A group of Dream
Team alumni and mentors left Fulton, MS, Friday, June 25, for 10 days of
cycling along the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route. Their daily average during the trip was 101 miles. According to Atiba Mbiwan, the Dream
Team coach, they arrived safely in Atlanta on Wednesday, July 7, and everyone was
a little stronger, wiser and compassionate!

Atlanta's Next Police Chief and a Freewheeling Political Experiment
Jim Galloway, a
writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, wrote an article about George
Turner's and Andrew Young's BRAG adventure in 1988 from Hartwell to Jekyll
Island. George Turner is Atlanta's
new Police Chief. Ambassador

Natchez Trace
NATCHEZ TRACE AND ANGOLA PRISON
RODEO- Monday, October 18 to Monday, October 25 Join TEAM BRAG as we bicycle 6
days on the Natchez Trace starting in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, October
18, to Natchez, Mississippi. Then we attend the world-famous Angola
Prison Rodeo in Louisiana on Sunday before returning Monday, October 25. The Natchez Trace is a two-laned paved 444-mile parkway operated by the
National Park Service. It is a premier recreational bicycle
route. Limited to 12 people. Contact Trace veteran and Ride Leader

person double occupancy. This includes transportation to/from Lilburn,
Georgia, 7 nights motel lodging - double occupancy, and Rodeo ticket.

Again in 2010 - The BRAG Centurion Club
In 2010, BRAG is
offering 4 fully-supported Century Rides. Each ride features an all-cotton bandanna to the
finishers. For 2010, we will again give away the BRAG Centurion Club Hat
to those riders who complete three of the four BRAG century rides in
2010. You will wear your BRAG Centurion Club Hat with pride all next
year. Plan to ride the next BRAG century in Tifton, Saturday, October 16,
2010, during the Georgia BikeFest.

April 21-30, 2011 - Southwest Coast of Turkey-Aegean Sea By Bike and Boat
Team Brag invites you to join Brag riders and
friends for a fabulous bike and boat tour. We'll spend a
total of 10 days/9 nights, discovering the southwest coast of
Turkey, east of the Greek Islands along the beautiful turquoise Aegean and
Mediterranean Seas. Our ship is a comfortable and
stylish Turkish Bahriyeli ship. We are met at
the Dalaman airport on the first day and transferred to an upscale hotel for the
first two nights in Dalyanon the Datca Peninsula in the Aegean, with time to relax and
explore on our own. Day three, we are transferred
to Marmaris to board our ship and spend the next 7 nights/8 days
enjoying the cruise and biking to the historical cities of
Sarsala, Fethiye, Gocek, Dalyan, Ekincik, returning to Marmaris
where we're transferred on April 30 to the Dalaman airport.
We bike 25 to 35 miles a day with our
guide through partly hilly terrain on a hybrid or mountain bike, included in
the cost. Layover days are your choice. Half day biking and
optional biking is available. A non-riding spouse or friend is
welcome. We dock each night in peaceful bays, enjoy dinner prepared
by our chef and crew on board, and take in the nightlife in the port
city, if you choose. All breakfasts and dinners are included,
entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites, an
English-speaking bicycle tour guide, and airport
transfers. Our website will be ready soon with the cost, daily
itinerary, and the on-line booking form. A $450 credit
card deposit with your booking form must be received by Bike Tours Direct
through the Brag custom website by December 1, 2010. The minimum number
of riders is 14,

Ride, Saturday, September 4, 2010. Saul, a Dalton, GA native, suffered a
traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a crash while racing professionally in Europe
in 2006. Saul has fought back,
recovered beyond his doctors' expectations, and now focuses his energy toward
helping others with TBI. There are
various mileage options available with lunch included and a guaranteed t-shirt

7th Annual Nut Roll
The 7th
Annual Nut Roll, sponsored by the Pecan City Pedalers, will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010, in
Albany, GA. The ride benefits The
Parks at Chehaw Education Center.
Various mileage options, 30, 46, 62, and 102 miles. All routes are fully supported and
clearly marked. All registered
riders will receive a complimentary pass for free admission to Chehaw Wild
Animal Park, valid for day of the ride.

10th Annual Beautiful Backroads Century
2010
marks a milestone year for one of Georgia's most popular bike rides - Beautiful
Backroads Century, Saturday, September 18th. For only $30, riders are treated to

Camp Twin Lakes - Spin for Kids
Spin for Kids is an annual
fundraising bike ride that invites riders to raise money in support of Camp
Twin Lakes. Camp Twin Lakes is a nonprofit organization that offers
year-round recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs for children and
young adults facing serious illnesses and other life challenges. This year Spin for Kids will take place
during the weekend of October 23-24, 2010. Riders have the option of participating in the Mountain Bike
Ride, the Road Bike Ride, or both. On Saturday, the Mountain Bike Ride will
take place in beautiful Ft. Yargo State Park. On Sunday, the Road Bike Ride will offer multiple routes for
riders of all skill levels to ride through scenic Morgan County and the
historic town of Madison. After Sunday's ride, participants and their
families are invited to enjoy a community day at Camp featuring lunch, camp
