Happy Holidays from Finger Lakes Distilling!
January 1st, 2010
|Dear Friend of FLD, |
November has been a busy time for us here at the distillery. Our trip to NYC was a great success. McKenzie Rye Whiskey was released just in time and was very well received (as were our other spirits). We'd like to thank everyone who stopped by to try our spirits at WhiskyFest and the Brandy Library.
( Brian (L) and Thomas (R) McKenzie @ WhiskyFest)
Also, many thanks to everyone who made a special trip to our tasting room just to try the new rye. Judging by the response so far, hopefully the first batch doesn't sell out before the next one is ready!
While our tasting room has remained bustling on the weekends, we've been working hard on the production floor on weekdays to replenish our stocks of vodka, gin, and corn whiskey, all of which have brand new, completed batches.
In the tasting room, we have several new items that are perfect for the holidays - new hat styles (I don't think Thomas has taken his camouflage cap off since they arrived), aprons, and some fun cocktail napkins. In addition, we now carry well-known Rochester, NY bitters maker, Fee Brothers, as well as VERJOOZ, a tart, green grape juice that works wonders in a Seneca Drums Gin & Tonic. Thanks to Finger Lakes Food Company for the stock of VERJOOZ!
This past month, we had a great time hosting Long John & the Tights (see pic below). On December 6th, we plan on featuring some more great live music at the distillery tasting room. Swing by and check it out!
The upcoming holiday season and the release of McKenzie Rye have inspired lots of cocktails lately. Below, in our creative cocktails section, check out some great recipes for your holiday parties.
As always, we appreciate your support and hope you can find a way to make FLD spirits part of your holiday celebrations.
