"It's not how much we give
but how much love we put into giving."
(Mother Teresa)
Dear Parents,
Catholic Schools Week has come and gone, and it will certainly be a wonderful memory for all of us. Our spirit rally and concert was a huge success, and we were especially happy to have Dr. Starkovich, our Superintendent, join us for all of the fun! The week ended with Mass celebrated by Bishop Zarama and a day of appreciation for all of our volunteers! Will Griffin, a fifth grade student, won the Catholic Schools Week essay contest with his wonderful perspective on what Catholic education means.
Next week will be a very busy week as it is Kindergarten testing time. Our prospective Kindergarten students arrive at school in all of their finery to meet teachers and participate in a selection of special tests designed to measure their readiness for school. In addition, several members of the Advisory Council, HSA Board and administration will be interviewing companies that handle feasibility studies. From these interviews one company will be selected to handle the feasibility study for the expansion to our school.
Brennan Passons is never far from our thoughts and today she is especially close to our hearts. Work has begun on a memorial garden in her name. It will be a wonderful place for students to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of a peaceful place for reflection and prayer. As soon as it is done we will have a picture of it for you in the Herald.
Please remember that we are in the middle of re-registration for the 2012-2013 school year. The re-registration fee of $250 is due by the end of the month. It is important to have your commitment to the next school year because we have a large number of applications of students who are waiting to get into our school.
Have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Kathy Wood
Principal
