-        Work with R&D teams to understand business & key technology trends with a 3~5 year potential commercialization horizon

-        Develop use cases, identify key technology enablers / key contributors in academia, institutes, start-up companies, or other leading edge technology communities

-        Work with R&D teams to assess technology feasibility and to create strategic roadmaps and specific research proposals

-        Conduct special short term research analysis projects and consulting for engineering groups

-        Document research information regarding emerging technologies, market trends and key market performers

-        Build and maintain knowledge database regarding key market and technology trends

-        Provide timely responses to requests and resolve issues in a timely fashion

-        Bachelor's degree in science/engineering areas (Masters / PhD welcome)

-        Must have good understanding of emerging technologies in the consumer electronics industry including but not limited to; computer graphics, network security, operating systems, CPU/GPU architectures, web programming, HCI, audio and sound perception, parallel computing, circuit design, prototype design, RF and communications, bio-engineering, medical and healthcare, eco-friendly design, MEMS and nano fabrication, etc.

-        Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments to meet challenging deadlines

-        Self-motivated with excellent skills in oral and written communications

-        Occasional travels
