Dear Member:

In compliance with Article XI, Section 5(A) of the bylaws of the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR), the GCAAR Nominating Committee has nominated the following persons to offices, as indicated, subject to their election by the membership. The election will be held by electronic ballot beginning no later than November 20, 2011. This letter shall serve as official notice as provided for in the bylaws.

As President of the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR), Bonnie will continue to move GCAAR forward in its relationships with state and local public officials, formulate its positions on public policy issues of concern to GCAAR members; improve communications with GCAAR members; and foster efforts to improve the integrity of the profession. Bonnie has been a member of GCAAR since becoming a REALTOR® in 2000. She currently serves as GCAAR's President-Elect, Chair of RPAC, and is a member of the Executive, Nominating, Budget, and both the DC and Montgomery County Public Policy Committees. Read more.

Silvia Rodriguez, the 2009 MAR and GCAAR REALTOR® of the Year, has been a REALTOR® since 1985 and the Broker-Owner of SILVIA International Realty since 1990. Silvia was inducted into the Omega Tau Rho Honorary REALTOR® Fraternity in September 2010. Her elected positions include: GCAAR 2011 Secretary, Treasurer (2010, 2009), and member of the 2006-2008 Board of Directors; NAR Director (2011, 2010, 2009); Governor of the Maryland Women's Council of REALTORS® (WCR) (2011) and President of the Greater Capital Area WCR Chapter (2009). Her professional and civic awards include the MAR President's Award (2005), the NAR Good Neighbor Honorable Mention Award (2004), and induction into the Montgomery County Human Rights Hall of Fame (2002). Adrian Hunnings is the owner and principal broker of Palladian One Realty, LLC. He holds a broker's license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Previously Adrian managed the Bethesda Office of Weichert REALTORS® (2007-2008) and the Spring Valley Office of W.C. & A.N. Miller (2002-2006). He has been a licensed real estate agent for the last 19 years. An active GCAAR member, Adrian has served on the Board of Directors since 2006, including terms as President (2011), President Elect (2010) Secretary (2009), and Treasurer (2008). Read more.

Greg Ford is an Associate Broker with Keller Williams Capital Properties and has extensive knowledge of the of the Maryland, District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia markets. Currently, Bill is an Associate Broker with Keller Williams Capital Properties, licensed in DC, Maryland and Virginia. He has been licensed since 1986. Prior to affiliating with Keller Williams, Bill was Principal Broker of Carter-Highsmith, LLC. From 2001-2004, Bill served as Vice President for Real Estate Services at a local real estate development firm. From 1998-2001, he served in the Williams Administration as Special Assistant to the Mayor for Economic Development, and from 1996-1998 as Special Assistant to the CFO, responsible for asset management. Cuvator "Q" Armstrong has been a Montgomery County resident since 1979 and a REALTOR® since 1985. She holds the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation and is a graduate of the Maryland Association of REALTORS® (MAR) Leadership Academy. Cuvator currently serves GCAAR as a Director, Chair of the Community Service Committee GCAAR Cares, and member of the International Committee. As the 2011 President of the Washington, DC Association of REALTORS® (WDCAR), Suzanne represents the interests of Washington, DC REALTORS® at the national level. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), and is a member of NAR's Federal Housing Policy Committee. She is a past chairperson of the Washington, DC Public Policy Committee and GCAAR's Grievance Committee. Read more.

Carter Ferrington is an Associate Broker with Vogel Realty, Inc. He currently chairs GCAAR's Eductation Committee. He is also an associate attorney with the law firm of Bar Adon & Vogel PLLC. Mynor Herrera is an active GCAAR member, who served on the Community Service and Professional Development Committees before becoming the latter's Chairman. Prior to working with Keller Williams, Mynor was an agent with Weichert REALTORS®, teaching classes, serving as a mentor, and is a graduate of Weichert's management program. Gerry Occhiuzzo, has performed many services for Associations - primarily in Education and Professional Standards. He has evaluated courses and instructors for NAR, assisted in developing courses on the state level, chaired committees and assisted on the local Board of Directors. In addition, he served on the Maryland Association of REALTORS® (MAR) Communications Committee, the GCAAR Events and Rookie Committees, and is Board liaison to the International Committee. The GCAAR 2012 annual dues billing is now posted online at www.gcaar.com. New this year! GCAAR now accepts American Express and Discover Card.

The billing due date is November 30, 2011.
