FineArtStore E-News: Hot Sticks Encaustic Paint, Da Vinci Brush Video!
E-newsletter April 2011
Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in our company and products. In an effort to keep you up-to-date on all the recent happenings at FineArtStore.com, we are sending you this e-news update!
This issue we are passing along some great videos. One video is from Enkaustikos and the other, Da Vinci Brushes. Please enjoy them and be sure to share them with friends.
The rumors are true! Enkaustikos (the makers of Hot Cakes Encaustic Wax Paint) are introducing a new product to the market called Hot Sticks. Hot Sticks feature the same professional artist-quality colors found in the Hot Cakes line but come in a versatile, square stick. Hot Sticks give you encaustic creativity at your fingertips! They are perfect for painting on heated substrates and ideal for printmaking, rubbings, and other mixed media techniques. You can use them on their side to make bold strokes of encaustic color or heat just the tip to paint finer details. You can even melt them on the palette to create pools of color for your brush or in a tin for custom color mixes. We believe that encaustic artists will really enjoy using these -- especially those artists who are already fans of the Hot Cakes line!
You can look foward to seeing Hot Cakes in our store and on FineArtStore.com this April. We should have them on our shelves as early as April 15th! Enkaustikos just released a fun, theatrical sneak peek video featuring a few Hot Stick demos - be sure to watch it so that you can learn more about what this awesome new product has to offer. Like us, you will be eagerly awaiting their debut.
A Behind The Scenes Look At The Da Vinci Factory
Da Vinci presents Brush Factory Tour
Another fun video to check out is one from Da Vinci Brushes. They recently posted a video on YouTube to give you a behind the scenes look at their brush factory. You can see how their high quality brushes are produced...being handmade in Germany! You will see their staff working diligently on the different bristles and handles, monitoring quality control, product testing and carefully working to keep all their brushes up to standard. It is a unique look at the factory that you won't get to see anywhere else.
Check it out and take a tour!
