Who is David Darling?
You probably know exactly what it means to be a Grammy winner. But what does it mean to be an improvisor? David Darling, a 2012 Public Conversationalist, loves creating beautiful music spontaneously which led him to co-found Music for People, a nonprofit network that encourages the creative ability of musicians of any stripe, from shower-only singers to the industry's professionals.

Favorite fictional hero?
Fluffy from the kid's book A Porcupine Named Fluffy. After several disastrous attempts to become his name, he learns that being himself is much more fun anyway.
Best play space in Indianapolis?
I love the grounds at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. It's my favorite spot to picnic, hang out, and take friends visiting from out of town.
Favorite family game?
Scrabble Slam. This quick card version of the board game is riotously fun, requires speedy thinking, and lots of table slapping! |
