Food and Social Justice
Rev. Kevin Armstrong, senior pastor at North United Methodist Church and vice chair of the Spirit & Place Advisory Board, will moderate the 15th Annual Public Conversation on food and social justice. How do we get healthy food? How do we make it accessible and affordable? How do policy makers, funders, and community organizers come together over such a basic need? Where should energy be directed to effect change? How can we foster civic-and civil-dialogue about food-related issues?
Join Growing Power CEO Will Allen, author Frances Moore Lappé, and social practice artist Harrell Fletcher for a fascinating conversation on Saturday, November 13, 7 PM, at Emmerich Manual High School. |
