Perpetual Pitch-In Project

Eat. Help other people eat. What could be easier?

We invite you to host a pitch-in November 12-14 to help combat hunger. Register your group, select the date and time, and invite your guests to bring a dish to share as well as goods and/or cash to support your favorite food service organization. There's lots of room for fun, too. Check out these creative ideas and sign up today.

Food Ideas Needed

Got an idea for an Indiana-branded food product, a plan to bring urban gardens into business environments, or a better way to raise chickens? Pecha Kucha-Indy is currently accepting submissions for great ideas on the "Food for Thought" theme; two cash prizes will be awarded. Visit www.pkindy.org for guidelines; the deadline is October 20. See the best eight ideas for yourself at Pecha Kucha-Indy Volume 11.
Festival Previews

Localizando Food: A documentary and a stop-motion animation film, both created by local youth, explore the implications of insufficient food choices.

Just Like Grandma Made: Share favorite recipes and memories, while sampling time-honored family recipes and stories from Central Indiana seniors.

Edible Stories: Silly and sublime literature inspires edible artwork and conversation created by both culinary students and event participants.

Amen for the Senses: Two pianists, a visual artist preparing soup on-stage (which you get to eat), and shared conversation on food memories create an unforgettable experience.

Get Healthy Franklin!: This display, lecture, and panel discussion explores how to eat right away from home, how to prepare nutritious food, and how to get kids to eat vegetables.
