Bill Hudnut & John Fetterman
Public Conversation on Inspiring Places Sunday, November 15, 3:30 p.m. St. Luke's United Methodist Church FREE, no tickets needed.
The 14th Annual Public Conversation features a conversation between these two entrepreneurial public servants. John Fetterman is the 39 year-old, imposing-looking mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, who is transforming the town's "malignant beauty" through projects ranging from the development of urban farms to the production of public art. Bill Hudnut, former four-term mayor of Indianapolis is renowned for reviving Indianapolis through entrepreneurial public-private partnerships and the development of a sports capital strategy.
New features to this year's conversation include audience Q&A, a section especially for "tweeters," and a one-of-kind "surround sound" performance. The audience will be flanked on four sides by eight choirs including Butler University Chorale, IUPUI University Choir, Indianapolis Brass Choir, Northminster Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir, Second Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Choir, St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Chancel and Children's Choirs, with organist Charles Manning.
The Public Conversation is sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company with additional support from Butler University, Indiana Humanities Council, Hilton Indianapolis, Scholars Inn, and WFYI.
