$10,000 prize for "Inspiring Places" project

Pecha Kucha Indianapolis, Spirit & Place, and the Central Indiana Community Foundation seek creative minds to create inspiring places--and compete for a $10,000 prize.

Submit your idea by Oct 18, 2009, 11:59pm to submissions@pkindy.org. Submissions should be for achievable, innovative projects that will occur within Indianapolis city limits. Please submit a description (500 words max) and at least five images. See the press release or go to http://pkindy.org for more information, details, and videos of previous submissions.

A panel of celebrity city planners will select the best, most actionable idea at the November 12 Spirit & Place Festival event, "Pecha Kucha: The Next Indianapolis." Winners will also receive the ears and brains of a team of Indianapolis' best thinkers and planners, specially grouped together to help the winner make their vision a reality.

Other project partners include Asthmatic Kitty Records, Big Car, Indiana Humanities Council, Indianapolis Downtown Inc, and the Local Initiatives Support Coalition.
