A Night of gospel Music at Christ Church
First Friday, February 4, 8 PM
 
Tonight for the First Friday Concert at Christ Church, we are blessed to have both the Chancel and Gospel Choirs of the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas offer a night of Gospel and Sacred Music.  Please join us, and use the attached poster to email your friends to join you.
Late announcement:  Attending Services placards will work to park your car on Second Street and American Street.  Do not park in a Bus Zone or in Front of a hydrant, and make sure you have a placard in the front and back windows!

What a weekend at Christ Church!

 

Tonight, First Friday February 4, our 8 PM concert.  Come and hear great Gospel music, and you'll be singing by the end!

 

Tomorrow, Saturday February 5, we have our Parish Work Day, and we need a large crew to prepare the Great Hall for the Annual Meeting, clean the church, and, if there are enough bodies, move a ton of bricks.  Each parish workday is like putting $2000 in the offering plate, so let Cecilia know you're coming.  The hours are 8:30 AM to Noon.  Come when you can, but the saints who arrive at 8:30 get the freshest doughnuts and hottest coffee.

 

Sunday, February 6, we have ONE SERVICE AT 10 AM, which is followed by our Annual Meeting at 11:15 AM.

 

Sunday afternoon at 3 PM is the Celebration of New Ministry and Institution of the Rev. Susan Richardson as Rector of Grace-St. Paul's Mercerville.  The travel time from Christ Church is 45 minutes.  Details here. 

 

Parishioner Mike Landis and the Rev. Palmer Hartl are starting a new employment support group for those seeking work or to transition in careers.  It starts on Friday, February 11, 12 noon.  Details in the weekly announcements.
