The Christ Church Community Update
For Sunday, January 30, 2011
Whoever you are, and wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith, you are welcome at Christ Church, as you are, to receive the blessings of God so freely given.

Greetings!

The new video about Christ Church, produced by the Episcopal Church for their "vibrant church" series, is perfect for your Facebook page and next Twitter Feed.  Watch the video here, and then pass it on.

This Sunday is the last to bring in canned tuna, pasta, peanut butter, etc, for Philabundance, the primary organization that stocks food pantries and fights hunger in the Philadelphia area, and they need food in the crushing cold of January.  The entire shopping list is found in the weekly announcements

Friday Night, February 4th, 8 PM, Christ Church hosts a night of gospel music provided by the choirs of the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas.  The Sages gather for supper before the concert at 6 PM.  More details in the announcements.

Annual Meeting Sunday for our parish is Sunday, February 6.  We have one service at 10 AM, followed by the Annual Meeting at 11:15 AM where we will elect new vestry members, receive important reports on the state of our parish, and hear what I expect will be a very exciting announcement.  Come out the day before, Saturday February 5, 8:30 AM to Noon, for Parish Work Day, so we can make our church beautiful and ready for the meeting. Did you notice how much fun the parish work day looked in the video

Making Your Pledges and Contributions Online

The best way to make your pledge contributions and offerings to Christ Church is in person on Sundays.  However, many parishioners choose to set up regular recurring gifts from a bank account or credit card through our secure members website.  Click here to get started today.
