Whoever you are, and wherever you
find yourself on the journey of faith, you are welcome at Christ
Church, as you are, to receive the blessings of God so freely given.
Greetings!
The decade that ends at midnight tonight has been painful, difficult and often horrific. From September 11, 2001, through the most devastating economic recession, to being in a nation enduring the ninth year of being at war, we are clearly a people and nation in need of a fresh start and new hope.
This Sunday, as Christ Church always does on the second Sunday of Christmas, we have a service of healing. Christmas is about healing because the coming of Christ is about restoration and hope. As we sing in Hark the Herald, "Light and Life to All Christ Brings, Ris'n with healing in His wings!"
A service of healing is about the healing of creation, resisting evil in the world, and restoring our belief in the dignity of every human being. So, bring your own needs for healing, and the needs of the world, this Sunday at 9 and 11 AM.
