First Friday Concert The Ensemble Epomeo (a String Trio)

Greetings!
The Pew Research Center issued a report this week documenting how unknowledgeable most Americans are regarding religion, with a majority not knowing that Martin Luther sparked the Reformation, Moses led Israel from bondage in Egypt, and that the Koran is the holy book of Islam. Take the test here, if you dare, and let me know your score.
This Sunday in the Forum, I begin a four week class on Religious Liberty, Past, Present and Future. With the debates over the NYC mosque, same-sex marriage, and abortion constant, the role of religious liberty is frequently misunderstood. This Sunday, we begin with a history and explanation of the recently restored Liberty Window in Neighborhood House and why it is such a famous artistic rendering of America's history of religious liberty.
Sunday evening, Oct. 17, will be very special. Parker Kitterman gives an organ recital at 5 PM, and at 6 PM, the Fall Fete, an evening of fun, food and fellowship in the Neighborhood House, and a celebration of the ministry and ministries of Christ Church. You can RSVP and purchase your dinner ticket here, or email Cecilia Wagner.
After the 11 AM service on Sunday, October 24, we will have a reception for and bid godspeed to Susan Richardson who becomes Rector of Grace-St. Paul in Mercerville, NJ. If you would like to contribute for a gift and purse for Susan, information is here.
