New entrance to Neighborhood House
On Sunday, September 20, at 10:10 AM, we will have a dedication and groundbreaking for the Neighborhood House project Access 2010.

On Ministry Sunday, it is a right, good and joyful thing to dedicate the renovations that will make Neighborhood House safe, accessible and open to neighbor, parishioner and visitor,  young and old, Jew, Christian and Muslim and all the diversity of God's creation.

In our Sunday liturgies, we will celebrate the ministries and ministers of Christ Church, from Acolytes to the Youth Ministers.  We will reaffirm our own baptismal vows and remember that when the worship ends, the service begins.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children ages 4 to 10, and Journey to Adulthood for those 11 and up, begin the season on September 13.  For details, click here.
The Bridge at Christ ChurchThe Bridge gathers Sunday, 12:30 PM

Those in their 20s, 30s and 40s come together for shared journeys, justice work, and discussion in the group called The Bridge.  September 20, 12:30 PM is our first meeting of the season. For details and contacts, click here.

Have you questions about An Altar in the World, the 10-week Tuesday evening program that begins Sept. 22 at 6:30 PM?  In another go at cyber-connectivity, the Rector has a brief YouTube explanation.  Please sign up for this program that will grapple with the basic spiritual questions:  How do I encounter God day today? Benefit Project H.O.M.E. by becoming an Old City detective on Sunday October 4 at 1 P.M., at the Christ Church fall outreach event.  Using clues and cameras provided by CityHunt, a professional scavenger hunt company, we'll gather in teams of all ages, with proceeds going to benefit Project H.O.M.E.   For information or to register, visit here.  To ensure we have materials for everyone, please register by September 30.  Kids 5 and under are free.
 
Blessing of the AnimalsThe Blessing of the Animals, in the Spirit of St. Francis Oct 4, 4 PM

Sunday, October 4 is also the feast day for St. Francis, and day on which the church, in the spirit of Francis, blesses all living creatures, including our pets.  Bring them one and all to the south garden at 4 PM.  And, bring your pets on the Scavenger Hunt!
