Work on the new elevator, fire systems, atrium and everything to make our venerable old Neighborhood House accessible and usable started in June, but we didn't get a chance for a proper groundbreaking.  We will gather Sunday, September 20 at 10:15 AM to commit to the next 100 years of service and mission to the community.

Worshipers attending the 9 AM and 11 AM gather together in the North Garden in the hour between services.  Summer Sundays provides the perfect opportunity to meet new folks and renew connections with friends missed over the summer.

Diane Meredith Belcher has joined the Christ Church Staff as our Interim Organist and Choirmaster.  Let her know about your favorite hymns and church music, and talk with her about volunteering in our choir.  Diane brings great gifts to the parish, including her skills and energy in building a choir of both volunteer and professional singers. Coming up at Christ Church
Atriums and Youth Group Begin Sept. 13

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children ages 4 to 10, and Journey to Adulthood for those 11 and up, begin the season on September 13.  Atrium 1 (ages 4-6) is from 9 to noon, while Atrium 2 (ages 7-10) and youth group meet at 10:10.  For questions, contact Leza Kramarenko for Atriums and Chris Alvarez for youth group.

Benefit Project H.O.M.E. by becoming an Old City detective on Sunday October 4 at 1 P.M., at the Christ Church fall outreach event.  Using clues and cameras provided by CityHunt, a professional scavenger hunt company, we'll gather in teams of all ages, with proceeds going to benefit Project H.O.M.E.   For information or to register, visit here.  To ensure we have materials for everyone, please register by September 30.  Kids 5 and under are free.
 
Our Fall Small Group Program

Our 12-week Tuesday evening program this fall will grapple with the basic spiritual questions:  How do I encounter God day to day? How do I find God in my real life experiences?  We'll draw on the wisdom in Barbara Brown Taylor's book, An Altar in the World. The program begins Tue., Sept. 22, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Childcare  provided with advance RSVP.  Questions?  Contact the Rev. Susan Richardson, and to register, contact Cecilia Wagner.
