Old City Scavenger Hunt to Help Fight Homelessness in Philadelphia

Does your employer have social service funding that could sponsor you and a team of your colleagues for the hunt?  Or maybe your child's class at school would like to sponsor his or her "hunting" to benefit Project H.O.M.E. For information or to register, visit www.christchurchphila.org/hunt.  To ensure we have materials for everyone, please register by September 30.  Kids 5 and under are free.  So build your team and come along!

WHYY Produces Video Broadcast About "Sarah's Story"

Diane Johnson as "Sarah"

Christ Church has long been known as a church that offers itself, its gifts, and its history to the public.  One way we've done this is "Sarah's Story," a dramatization of the story of slavery in Philadelphia and in Christ Church's history that has captured public interest and acclaim.  Click here to view WHYY's brief video broadcast about "Sarah's Story."

Christ Church Among the 2009 Grant Recipients of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship

Christ Church Philadelphia has received a grant to expand its development of a range of Anglican musical and liturgical resources in worship.  The Worship Renewal grant was awarded by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship (CICW), Grand Rapids, Michigan.  "This grant has given us a great opportunity to go deeper in exploring what Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, calls 'the mixed economy' of worship styles within one parish that may be the church's true future," adds the Rev. Susan Richardson, project director. "As part of the grant, Christ Church will sponsor a workshop for both the parish and the diocese on Anglican liturgical and musical resources." Click here to learn more about the project.
Moving Right Along...

The program begins Tue., Sept. 22, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Childcare  provided with advance RSVP.  Questions?  Contact the Rev. Susan Richardson, and to register, contact Cecilia Wagner.
