Historical Scavenger Hunt in Old City
Become an Old City detective on Sunday October 4, at 1 p.m., at the Christ Church fall outreach event!  Using clues and cameras provided by City Hunt, a professional scavenger hunt company, we'll gather in teams of all ages, with proceeds going to benefit Project H.O.M.E.  Cost is $20 per person, with additional offerings going to fight homelessness.  For more info, or to help or sign up, contact the Rev. Family Retreat is On for September 25-27
More than 50 adults and kids have signed up for the family retreat September 25-27 at Camp Dark Waters.  A few spaces are still available, so don't wait any longer to RSVP to Cecilia Wagner with the number of adults and kids who can come.  Please let us know if you have any questions, or are interested in helping.  The cost is $35 per person for the entire weekend, plus an additional small contribution to the cost of meals and facilitators for the canoes and games.

Neighborhood House Renovation
The old north entrance of NH Please excuse the dust in Neighborhood House and Washburn House.  Project Access 2010 is well under way.  As we clear out the old to make room for the new, you can visit the web site for regular updates, or check with staff or vestry if you have any questions.  Want to glance through the doors at how church-past is becoming church-future?  After a Sunday service, check with the Rev. Looking Ahead to Our Fall Program:  Finding God on the Altar of the World
Our 12-week Tuesday evening program this fall will grapple with the most persistent challenge in developing a living, breathing spiritual life:  How do I encounter God in my daily life, and where is God in my real-life experience?  Each week drawing on the wisdom in Barbara Brown Taylor's book,An Altar in the World, we will work in small groups to develop spiritual practices such as "Waking up to God," "Feeling Pain," "Living with Purpose," "Encountering Others," and "Pronouncing Blessings" - sometimes going out beyond our own walls to live the questions in the world together.  The program begins Tuesday, September 22, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Childcare will be provided with advance RSVP.  Questions?  Contact the Rev.
