Just in case you haven't heard the big news, the 2012 Assistive Technology Expo will take place on September 20-21 at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow! There are three different pre-conference trainings on September 20th: 1. Accessible Instructional Materials: Decision-Making, Supportive Tools and the Oklahoma Road Map to Improve Student Success (morning session) 2. How to Get eBooks and Make Them Accessible (afternoon session) 3. Students Achieving Meaningful Outcomes through Self-Determination, Assistive Technology Acquisition, and Transition Planning Tools (all day session) The AT Expo will take place on September 21st and we have scheduled a great line-up of speakers and AT vendors. This is the website that has thousands of switch adapted, IntelliKeys accessible, talking books on topics that are appropriate for struggling/emergent readers from K to Adult. If you can't make it to our computer lab training, maybe you could watch this tutorial offered by the PACER Center. Tar Heel Reader is easy to use, FREE, and did I mention, it is Easy To Use?
