Greetings!
testing
Are you ready for Oklahoma Alternative Assessment Portfolio Season?!?  If you need a little inspiration, consider attending one of our upcoming trainings!  We have two locations scheduled in November for "Assistive Technology for a Successful Portfolio". The first takes place in Woodward on November 3rd-4th, followed by one in Poteau on November 10th-11th.

This 2-day presentation will explore assistive technology that can be used for individuals with a variety of physical, cognitive and language abilities to find success with the Oklahoma state mandated portfolio assessment.  Participants must be Special Education teachers.

Participants will create low tech curriculum materials and explore online curricular activities that can be used in their classroom to address OAAP standards. Participants will receive brief training on how to use Boardmaker to modify activities. *There is a $30 registration fee associated with this training.

If you can't make it to one of these trainings, consider attending one of our OAAP Portfolio Development labs scheduled throughout the rest of the school year in either our OKC or Tulsa computer labs.  We introduce you to the online curricular resources we have available and provide you with the supplies to make 4 low-tech curricular activities. *There is $5.00 registration fee associated with this training.

Please note!  Our trainings do not replace the
Oklahoma Alternate Assessment Program (OAAP) Portfolio - Curriculum and Assistive Technology Training provided by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. For more information and to register for this training, please click here.

Sincerely,
The OATC Gang

 dice in bottle
Ever try to play a game that involves dice and find yourself spending most of your time chasing down the dice as they fly around the room after each roll?  Yeah. Me too.  Here is a simple solution.  Put your dice in an empty Fiji water bottle (it has flat sides).  Screw on the top.  Toss the bottle on the table.  Voila!
Wishing you all the best!
