 I realize this idea will have limited applications within the educational setting, but I think it is just such a clever form of no-tech AT. The next time you or one of your students have to hammer in a small nail, try using a comb to hold the nail in place, protecting your tender fingers from an accidental hammer wack. If the comb doesn't work for you, try one of the other ideas listed on this page.

I know, I know, who wants to think about next year when you've just barely made it through this year. Just in case you ARE already thinking about next year, then you will want to take some time to explore this site. Tons of classroom resources are free for the taking; some of which are adapted, some of which could be adapted, and some of which are fine just the way they are. And it's ok if you just want to bookmark this and look at in August. :-) 
IHMC Cmap Tools is a free graphic organizer that works a lot like Inspiration. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for with this program.
