Bensimon Addresses Leaders of Kent State University
 Dr. Estela Mara Bensimon addressed an audience of 150 Kent State University leaders, faculty and staff about the Center on Urban Education's Equity Scorecard on Sept. 23.
She also met with Kent State president Lester Lefton, and the university Deans to discuss how the Scorecard is used to strengthen equitable outcomes for underrepresented students. Kent State has recently established a division of diversity, equity and inclusion and is working on strategic goals for inclusion, excellence and success that are based in part on Bensimon's research.

Metros Talks Online and On-Campus Degrees at USC
 Dr. Susan Metros was featured in Delta Sky Magazine discussing online degrees at USC. "A master's degree from the University of Southern California is a master's degree from the University of Southern California," she said. "We don't distinguish between online and residential degrees on our diplomas because they are, in fact, the same." Read more. |
Alumna Joins Faculty at University of Rochester
Dr. Sarah E. Peyre (MSEd '05, EdD '08) has joined the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester as an assistant professor, and the School of Medicine and Dentistry as director of simulation and associate director of comprehensive assessment.
She earned both her Master in Science of Medical Education and her doctorate in Educational Psychology from the Rossier School. |
