10 am to 3 pmYarn and chocolate....what could be better? Join us for a weekend of fun with some exquisite treats from two of our favorite Michigan artisans.
On Friday evening, we'll be open until 9 pm with both Briar Rose Fibers and Grocer's Daughter Chocolate. At 7 pm, Mimi will be giving an informal talk on artisan chocolates, complete with a few samples. And of course, there will be wine!
On Saturday, the trunk show will be running from 10-3, another opportunity to see some of the most beautiful handpainted yarn in Michigan.
Both Briar Rose and Grocer's Daughter wares will be available for sale all weekend--don't miss out on this perfect pairing of Michigan sweet delights!
Chris Roosien of Briar Rose Fibers has been hand painting yarns and fibers since 2004. Merino wool, silk, Tencel and several wool blends are just a few of Briar Rose's signature fibers dyed in a breathtaking, saturated hues. She travels the country attending fiber festivals, trade shows and open houses year-round--we're so lucky to be welcoming her here! Grocer's Daughter Chocolate was also started in 2004 and is owned and operated by Mimi Wheeler. She uses fruits, edible flowers and herbs from her summer garden and from the soils and the natural beauty of northern Michigan--just a few miles away, perched atop a dune in the quaint village of Empire.* * * * *
