A Birthday Party:
Saturday, April 16th
6-9 p.m.
 It's been awhile since we've seen the sun here in Northern Michigan--or new yarn, for that matter! So we're clearing out the cobwebs, dusting off the shelves, washing the windows--all so we can share the new yarns, patterns, samples and needles that are arriving every day to kick off our busy summer season. The most exciting aspect of this party is a first-ever contest. Not just the first time for us, but we've never heard of a yarn shop doing this before. Ever. Here's how it works: For every $30 dollars spent on Saturday, April 16th, your name will be entered in a drawing. The winner of this drawing gets to pick out more spring inventory to arrive in May! This customer will have the opportunity to play Yarn Shop Owner for a day, hand-selecting the yarns they want to showcase at Wool & Honey, Northern Michigan's LYS (Local Yarn Shop). Think of it as a yarn shopping spree--without any of the guilt! One of the most enjoyable things about owning a yarn shop is choosing the yarns and fibers that round out the shop's collection. It's just so fun! The winner of this contest will be able to do that and much more! We'll schedule an appointment where the two of us whittle down several choices--picking from yarn vendors, fiber suppliers, pattern designers, needle companies--and the winner has the final say. (And yes, there is a budget.) Once the yarn arrives, there will be a section of the shop dedicated to the new product (complete with signage--ex. "Dana's Pick") and as an added bonus, this customer will receive 10% off this yarn for the entire summer. Sound too good to be true? Trust us. It's for real. And the more you purchase, the more chances you have to win.
