Dear kind, sweet, gentle knitters,
You will forgive me for the slightest delay in the weekly email, won't you? We're getting so close to the Big Surprise, I've had my head in a few other places the past week and a half. I'm sorry. I'll try to make up for it with a really great sale--would that work?

A few tidbits of information before we get to the Sale-of-the-Week:
1. We will be closed Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, May 27th (that's NEXT week!) for deep cleaning/general spiffing-up/surprise prepping. We'll reopen on Friday morning, May 28th at 11:00 a.m., resuming our normal Summer Hours (11-6, M-Sa; 1-4 Sun)--knocking your handknit socks off with a pretty fabulous surprise.
2. Mark your calendars for a party! Time to celebrate, don't you think? Next Friday, May 28th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., we'll be toasting the start of Summer! It's also a chance to celebrate my 4-year anniversary at the shop, a snazzy-looking storefront and the Big Surprise! Join us for treats, new yarn and some fizzy lifting drinks. (Naturally.)
3. We've got a wee bit of construction underway in front of the shop this week. (Okay, there's scaffolding, skill saws and extra dumpsters, but let's not split hairs, here!) The shop is getting a well-deserved facelift--new siding, new trim, new colors--just in time for the busy summer season. These guys are super speedy, but it'll be a few more days until they pull out of here. We're open for business as usual--as long as you don't mind a tiny bit of dust, stop by to check it out while picking out your next fibery project!
4. Classes. I'm finalizing June's schedule now, which will be available next Friday for your perusal. Have a suggestion or special request? Call me at (231) 228-2800--we can always structure a class to accommodate special groups or private lessons.

Every week between now and Memorial Day weekend (the launch date of the BIG surprise), we'll be having a featured Sale of the Week. These sales will be on yarns, patterns and other merchandise we'll be saying good-bye to here at the shop.
