Serving roles at Beulah? I've had the privilege to serve as a leader in Pioneer Boys Club and most recently in Men's Ministry, and as an Elder.
What do you do? I'm a Sale's Representative for Edgewood Matting.
What do you love about what you do? Talking and serving people, helping to provide the right product for the application at hand.
How do you connect with God? I find I connect with God best through songs of worship and through group Bible studies and prayer. I also enjoy a daily quiet time (at least almost every day!) before starting work in the morning. What's your favourite Scripture? Luke 6:46-49 - So why do you call me 'Lord,' when you won't obey me? I will show you what it's like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then obeys me. It is like a person who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon the underlying rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who listens and doesn't obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will crumble into a heap of ruins.
Where did you grow up? I was born in Calgary, but grew up in Edmonton.
Spring evokes? Fond memories of living life at our first home on an acreage near Spruce Grove with my wife Pat and two children Megan and Jordan (now all grown up!).
What are you passionate about? My desire is to make knowing and enjoying God the passionate pursuit of my life. I love to help others do the same.
What is your idea of a perfect day? A warm summer day around the home with Pat, just tinkering around with stuff. A life-changing book? Firstly, the Bible and secondly, a book by Chip Ingram called God as He Longs for You to See Him. What's your favourite thing about Edmonton and/or restaurant? Favourite thing about Edmonton - the river valley trail system. Favourite restaurant - a cheese burger at McDonalds.
What's the best advice you've ever received? A pastor friend once reminded me that our walk with God is a life long journey. God doesn't expect us to "have it all together within a week or two". Relax and enjoy Him.
