For the Love of Music
It all started with a love for music. Dawn Boer fondly remembers getting to church early on Sunday mornings so she could watch the choir practice. "I would sit there and wish I could be up there singing with them, but I didn't think I was good enough," says Dawn.

What I Enjoy Most About Serving: Serving with other believers is a joy and blessing. Watching others grow in the expression of their gifts is very exciting and rewarding.
How I Connect with God: In the beauty of nature and through inspirational music.
Favourite Scripture:
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Am Passionate About: Helping others grow and do things they didn't think they could do.
Valentine's Day evokes: Don't buy my wife flowers just because it's Valentines Day; she deserves them any day of the year." :-)
Perfect Day: When I get more accomplished than I had planned and I get to spend quality time with my family.
A Life-Changing Book: The Bible and "Laughing Matters" by Phil Callaway. (I learned from Phil not to take myself too seriously).
Favourite thing about Edmonton: I love living in northern Alberta cuz we get to experience all four seasons distinctly. Those in the warmer climates are missing out! (Plus we don't have any rats!)
Best Advice Ever Received: If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? This question has profoundly influenced my walk and inspires me every day. I don't want a day to go by where there is no evidence that I'm a Christian. |
