Volunteer Spotlight - 98A Campus
Name:
Evelyn Tilroe
Library Coordinator
I work with a team of volunteers who manage the library for our church family. Our goal is to provide our patrons with current and relevant materials to help them grow, learn, and have wholesome entertainment.
I was born into a large family who I remain very close to. I've been married to Kevin for 17 years.
Registered Dental Hygienist What I Enjoy Most About Serving: I enjoy connecting with the other volunteers and with the people who come in to use the library.
How I connect with God: By listening to music, joining in worship, and reading. Favourite Scripture: Psalm 139, especially verses 13 & 14: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My Hometown: I grew up on a hobby farm in Northern B.C. in a farming community where everyone knew everyone (and everything!). Am passionate about: Relationships. Favourite Thing to Do on a Saturday: Wake without the assistance of an alarm clock! This time of the year has me thinking of motorbiking, gardening, reading in the backyard, and being Kevin's co-pilot. A life-changing book: Where to begin... The Shack was a really good read, a new perspective.
Favourite Restaurant: The Outback Steakhouse.
