Introducing Gate Automation
Gate automation provides convenience and the security of having full control over who enters your property. By making the property more difficult to access by intruders, you reduce the risk of becoming a target for burglaries and trespassers.
Gate Automation Packages |
You have the convenience of remote access, as well as the options for a telephone intercom system, and keypad access. The 3 button transmitters allow access through the gate, and have 2 extra programmable buttons on each transmitter for garage, additional gate, etc. The telephone intercom system allows you to communicate with guests at the gate before allowing them onto the property. You will enter your drive way conveniently without leaving the doorstep or car. The access key pad & access telephone control panels include a decorative powder coated post and are available with wrought iron artwork. If there is an obstruction in the motion path of the gate, the photo safety eyes will trigger the gate to retract. You will need this safety sensor system if this is an entrance and exit gate.
We will install a Fire Department Knoxbox which is a secure box mounted outside of the gate for fire department to access home in case of an emergency. The Fire Department Inspection on gate, automation & knoxbox are included in all our gate packages.
Gate design options are available online, or for more information about gate automation packages, email or call us at (800) 361-7989.

Comparing Fiberglass, Wood and Steel Doors
Barcelona Style Iron Entry Door |
Due to the strength, durability, and design options, steel doors have replaced the traditional wooden door. You may find it difficult to choose between steel, fiberglass or wood because these materials have similar qualities. However careful consideration will reveal some subtle differences.
Signature Iron Entry Door | Cost
When comparing mid to low-grade steel or fiberglass doors, the cost difference between the two is fairly negligible. Although a low quality fiberglass door will crack or rot, and a cheap steel door may flake or peel. Within high-end fiberglass and steel doors, fiberglass will almost always cost significantly more. Steel is often the better, and First Impression Security Doors offers
Signature Iron Entry Doors which have hand forged scrolls for a fraction of the Exclusive Iron Entry Door Plasma Cut product line.
Maintenance
Most fiberglass doors have color mixed into the fiberglass instead of a surface color that extends through the thickness of the door. Because of this, there are an extremely limited number of color options. But if these doors are scratched or scuffed, the damage is not very noticeable. Wood doors, on the other hand are painted and if they are scratched or dented, the damage is particularly noticeable. First Impression steel doors are powder coated not painted. Powder coat is baked on and creates its own hard surface on the metal. We offer over 60 powder coat colors which are all scratch, weather, and chip resistant.
Durability
Powdercoated steel doors and comparable to fiberglass doors in terms of a long lifespan. Once installed, these doors can be left untended for years, while a painted steel door may rust or corrode. Untreated rust or corrosion can compromise the security of the door.
Appearance
Popular fiberglass entry doors simulate a wood grain appearance. First Impression steel doors are custom fabricated to offer an array of unique designs in ornamental ironwork. We have a multitude of different glass options to show off your iron work which also allow a lot of light into the home. A Signature feature of First Impression's Doors is that the glass is hinged. You will have a barrier between you and whoever is at your front door, and you can have the door closed and locked while allowing airflow through the home.
Insulation
Steel doors are usually better insulated than fiberglass units. This is due to the construction differences between the two doors. Our Steel doors are steel-skinned, filled with an expanding fully insulating foam core that helps to regulate temperatures. Fiberglass doors are usually solid all the way through, and lack the insulated core found in steel doors. |
