The vibration of Yellow relates to the Solar Plexus Chakra, situated just above the navel and below the ribs. The solar plexus is sometimes referred to as the 'seat of the emotions'. The energy of fear, anxiety and panic are registered in the solar plexus area; for example you may experience 'butterflies in your stomach', when you have to perform in public. The Solar Plexus is an important conjunction of nerves in the stomach, sometimes termed the second brain; it is through this system that the power of our consciousness and will is expressed. The Solar Plexus is our personal power centre; solar meaning Sun, this junction of nerves absorbs all emotions, and it is here that emotional upsets are first registered. A 'fight or flight' response to our emotions is registered by the adrenals, the nervous system responds by stepping up the heartbeat and blood pressure alerting the body to action.
Tips to look for to discover if Yellow is out of balance in your Aura:
- If Yellow is out of balance in the Aura a person may display co-dependent or self-conscious issues; be shy, lacking in self-worth or self-esteem.
- You may display irrational fears, phobias, inflexible or rigid behaviour, wanting the world to look a certain way so you can be happy or feel safe.
- You may feel confused or anxious around decision making, finding it difficult to make up your mind.
- You might find yourself gossiping or nervous talking, being acid or sharp tongued, critical, stubborn or argumentative.
- You may be prone to controlling or manipulating through your emotions, displaying tantrums and outburst, or withdrawing emotionally.
- Extreme cases can display obsessive negative thinking, resulting in nervous strain or a nervous breakdown.
- Someone may be stubborn, resistant to change, not liking to be told what to do unless they decide it is what they want.
- You maybe lacking in personal power, self-motivation or individual effort, with tendencies to procrastination or laziness.
TIP: Consciously use the energy of Yellow to elevate your energy and assist you to clear negative destructive thoughts, irrational fears, additive behaviour, a foggy mind, confusion, mind chatter, forgetfulness, or poor focus. Yellow is a good colour for students to use to help then focus and concentrate.
