Kooky Spooky Halloweekend
Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success - we welcomed
969 visitors!
Congratulations to all the draw prize winners and thank you SaskTel,
Travelodge, Safeway, Animaland, The Source, Coles, Abby's Warehouse and Bank of
Montreal for your generosity!
And a very big 'thanks' to all our volunteers who made this event possible:
Marilee, Camay, Amber, Cori, Aiden, Erin, Nahanni and Amy; and, of course,
Tisha and Jody for their amazing creativity and hard work.

River Landing Update
Erica and Danielle presented to the River Landing Steering Committee on
October 31 with Tourism Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan as part of
our bid to be part of the River Landing Destination Centre. We are now waiting
to hear back from the committee. |
Market Mall Grand Opening
After our successful summer as a traveling museum, we are excited to
announce that we will be opening in a permanent location in Market Mall in the
New Year.
We have been working with architects, artists, builders, and an assortment of
other committed volunteers to ensure our first home is a welcoming, unique and,
above all else, fun place for children to tackle the work of childhood -
learning through play.
We will be moving into a 2,000 sq ft space, across from the mini-golf area and
next to the Dollar Store. We are still finalizing details, but we expect to be
open five days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will have three permanent
exhibits: the Muddy Paws Animal Clinic, the North Wood, and our new performance
arts area. As well, we will have all kinds of programming and other fun
activities. We will charge admission and offer yearly memberships (unlimited
free admission). Stay tuned for our Grand Opening! |
Our Growing Board of Directors
A big welcome to Tracy Lines, our newest Board member and fundraiser
extraordinaire! Tracy brings with her the title of Ambassador of Saskatchewan,
and the experience of being an exchange student in a foreign country. A mother
of two very young children, she is looking forward to having a children's
museum in Saskatoon and is eager to help build it through promotion, sharing
ideas and contributing in all kinds of ways.
