Signs of Spring Nature Walk
Audrey Carroll Sanctuary Saturday, March 20th 9:00-11:00 |
We will be looking for signs of spring, from swelling buds on
trees to early spring migrant birds. Bluebirds will probably be laying
claim to the nest boxes. We will also have a chance to see how the
winter's deep snow may have affected the sanctuary. If the winter
weather has kept you indoors, make this your chance to get out for a
walk through some meadows and forests.
People of all ages are welcome. Meet at 9 a.m. at the entry gate to the sanctuary at 13030 Old Annapolis Road (just east of Detrick Road) in Mt. Airy. No
rest room facilities are available, and the walk will be cancelled in
the event of inclement weather. For further information contact Dave or
Elaine Pardoe at [email protected] or [email protected] or 410-381-0449 or see Audubon's web site.

All it takes is an hour or two of your time and a pair of work gloves! We will be sprucing up our gatehouse and raking out old debris from the yard. We may even have time for a quick bird walk! ***This is a great way for middle/high school students to earn service hours.
