KWJester Logging
Kevin Jester, a Clark County logger for nearly 20 years, needed to purchase new equipment during the 2009 economic downturn. When he turned to the Henderson State University ASBTDC for assistance, the staff suggested applying for a loan through the Federal Home Loan Bank EDP grant program. The HSU center staff guided him through the program criteria, financial planning and loan application process, and less than two months later, Jester secured the loan with FHLB backing through Summit Bank. When heavy rains further impeded business that summer, the HSU ASBTDC assisted him in preparing an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan application. "We have gained a lot of knowledge and information that has been very valuable to the continued growth and success of our business," said Jester. "We are certainly grateful for what we've gotten from ASBTDC."
In this YouTube video, Jester talks more about the assistance he received from the ASBTDC.
