PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The Spokane Shadow Youth Soccer Club believes that premier soccer should be available to all players based on their desire and ability to play the game, not their financial situation. Currently, 310 players are rostered on our 19 teams. This includes 25 players who have received $17,300 in Club dues assistance.
The Spokane Shadow Youth Soccer Club has identified seven fundraising opportunities to support the financial assistance program. Shadow parent volunteers are needed to help raise $10,000 by December 31, 2008:
How You Can Help:
1. Lurking in the Shadows Halloween Haunted House
Help transform the equipment buildings at Dwight Merkel Fields into Spokane's only Haunted House for kids and their families! Help is needed with decorations, marketing and promotion, and staffing. Contact Teri Keenan at [email protected] to offer your help.
Goal: $2,000 by November 1, 2008.
2. Shadow Club T-Shirt Fundraiser
Volunteer to help coordinate sales and marketing efforts in October and November.
Goal: Sell 200 t-shirts and raise $1,000 by 12/31/08.
3. Shadow Website Store
Volunteer to help coordinate the marketing of the new Shadow website store in October and November.
Goal: $500 in proceeds by 12/31/08.
4. Corporate Sponsorships/Grants
Volunteers are needed to research and apply for corporate sponsorships and grant funding.
Goal: Minimum $1,000 in sponsorships by 12/31/08.
5. Collaboration with SYSA
- 2008 Ford Focus Car Raffle: Volunteers needed to help sell raffle tickets - allowing Shadow to realize 50% of proceeds.
Goal: Sell 50 tickets and raise $2,500 by 11/1/08.
- South Complex Concession Stand: Volunteers needed to research and coordinate potential collaboration/partnership with SYSA and Breakers to share in work and proceeds.
6. Scrip Program
Volunteers needed to organize and market this source of recurring revenue.
Goal: Set-up by 12/31/08; involve 300 families purchasing just $100/month in scrip with a 4% discount = $14,000 per year in Club proceeds.
7. Shadow Uniform Sponsorships
Volunteers needed to pursue 3-year branding/advertising opportunities on all future Shadow uniforms.
Goal: $2,000 in sponsorships by 12/31/08.
