No student activities this Sunday night
Parents & students: As a family ministry team, we have been praying and have decided that we will not have any student activities this Sunday night. We know many families gather together in the community to watch the Super Bowl game. We are encouraging our students to spend time with their families and/or small groups during the Super Bowl, as it is a great opportunity to deepen community within their groups. Thanks for being part of Getwell Road Student Ministry! |

2012 Pastoral appointments
Each year in the United Methodist Church, the local church enters a period known as "pastoral appointment" - simply asking the question, "Does the pastor (Bill) need to be reassigned to Getwell Road for another year of ministry?" The Staff-Parish relations committee has received instructions to begin this process of discernment for 2012. As the Staff Parish committee enters into this time of discussion, they request your prayers, support and encouragement as they make the best decision for the church and its future ministry. The committee's decision must be returned to the Annual Conference by March 1, 2012. Please pray specifically for this committee and their decision.
SPRC Members
Wayne Williamson (chair); Benjamin Murphy (vice-chair), Jeremy Lively, Ginger Purvis, Rachel Curbo, Paul Scott, Billy Proctor, Brett Rivers, Stan Shoemaker, Deb West, Alan Gentry and Greg Perry |

Students traveling to England
Please pray for a group of 7 students and 5 adults as we travel to Guisborough, England from March 9-18, 2012. During this week we will be providing school, sports, and relational evangelism in the community of Guisboroughin Northeast England. This community currently has a population of 18,000. Why are we going here? Of the 18,000 who live in this community, there are only 300 people who actually attend church! That statistic alone shows how desperate this community needs to be shown and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. If you would like to help sponsor any of our students, please e-mail jrogers@getwellroad.org for details. Thanks for your prayers!
