The days are getting longer. Promise. I hope you are finding a way to keep up with your fitness goals. Spring will be here in no time. There is much work going on here scheduling March/April/May programs and developing more online resources. As always, please let me know what you want to see more of.
The most recent news is a Harvard University Study on the forces involved in a heel strike vs. a forefoot landing. The study concluded that a forefoot landing is much less stressful. It also highlights the (form) advantages of barefoot running since it is very difficult to heel strike when you are barefoot. This resulted in numerous articles, blog posts and very high activity on running message boards. A number of shoe manufacturers and retails also issued statements. The study reinforced what ChiRunning (and ChiWalking) have been teaching for over ten years. Some of the news posts, blogs, and articles are noted below.

Running on Love Team at the NJ Marathon
EnerChi Fitness has teamed up with Running on Love to provide ChiRunning resources to their team members in preparation for the NJ Marathon Events on May 2nd in Long Branch NJ. There is still time to join us for the program - and Team Relay, 1/2 Marathon or full Marathon.
