| NORTHAMPTON ARTS NIGHT OUT | The 2nd Friday of each month, come join us for an artist reception honoring the Quarry Cafe artist of the month.
The next artist's reception will be July 9, from 5-8 pm. Live music. Refreshments served.

SWING CARAVAN RETURNS TO THE CO-OP!
| | Local Jazz Favorites Featured at Strawberry Ice Cream Social Back by popular demand, Swing Caravan will perform this Thursday, June 17 from 5-8 pm at River Valley Market's second annual Strawberry Ice Cream Social.
The evening's menu will include:
- House-made sausages
- Burgers (antibiotic- and hormone-free beef)
- Veggie burgers
- Corn on the cob
- Potato salad
- Bart's Homemade ice cream
- Local strawberries (including chocolate dipped strawberries!)
- Drinks
At 6:45 we will present the Austin Miller Co-op Hero Awards, followed by the home debut of the River Valley Market Precision Shopping Cart Drill Team. We'll also have family entertainment with Trevor the Games Man and activities for kids. Don't miss the fun--everyone is invited!

RECIPE: QUARRY CAFE TABBOULEH
| A savory Middle Eastern salad, available fresh in the Quarry Café and easy to make at home. Adjust proportions according to your tastes. Serves 8.
INGREDIENTS 2/3 cup bulgur ¼ cup olive oil 1 1/3 cup water 2/3 cup chopped Italian parsley ¼ cup chopped fresh mint ½ diced English cucumber 1 diced tomato 3 T lemon juice 1 pinch Kosher salt 1 pinch ground black pepper
PREPARATION Add salt to water and bring to a boil. Place the bulgur in a heat-proof bowl (stainless or glass). Pour the boiling water over the bulgur and cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap. Let sit for 10 minutes, then uncover, fluff, and lay out to cool. When bulgur is cool, mix in other ingredients. Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve at room temperature or cold.
