The God Chaser!
Tommy Tenney! It was very cool to have Tommy Tenney with us for a wild time in Ukraine! He wrote the bestseller, "The God Chasers" and he's been traveling the globe helping others to fire up their relationship with God!
Buri OogliTommy was very moved by the work we are doing at Buri Oogli. He helped me to understand that the "system" we are fighting here (hiding and neglecting the disabled) is our "Goliath" and every bit of love we show is another smooth stone!

TWO AMAZING GIRLS!!!

Girl in the dumpOne girl, Marina, was abandoned by her parents and had learned not to trust anyone.  Kids her age made fun of her and treated her badly. When our worker, Larissa, found Marina and her brother in the local dump (in Kyrgyzstan) Marina was hiding. She had grown skeptical of a world that had caused her unbelievable pain.

Abigail MillsThe other girl, Abigail Mills, grew up in Canada but one day got a wild idea.  She asked her friends, for her birthday, to bring a donation to her party (rather than gifts) so that she and her Mom, Karen, could send the funds to a child, out there, who needed it more than her.  Abigail raised over $200!  Abigail and her Mom saw our last newsletter and the funds were sent to a girl named Marina, with a picture of Abigail, and a note from Loads of Love saying, "Someone halfway around the world cares a lot about you!"  Abigail can make a BIG difference.
Urbana in Ukraine for a BIG Splash!
Ready For Action! We had an amazing team with us in July from Urbana Illinois. They came to Ukraine with a crazy idea - to award kids at the orphanage by allowing them to spray water on three selected team members! (Just look at my face! :)

Giving it all for the kids!
Of course, I reverted to my many years of missions experience (I was the only one who spoke Russian :) and pointed to my new (dear) friend Ron and told the kids, "MORE, MORE, CLOSER, CLOSER!"  The kids loved it and Ron, well, almost as much!  Later on that week, Pasha, one of the boys from the youth group, was given the possibility of spraying Ron again, but Pasha stood in front of him, with the bottle in his hands, and said, "I can't do it ... he's my friend."  We ALL paused.  It struck us that the team was really, really changing the world in Ukraine.
My DEAR friends, thank you, SO much, for continuing to believe in miracles with me!
