| Pastor Ted Yuke and his AMAZING wife Gloria were with us for two joy-filled weeks. This picture best describes Pastor Ted's time here - he never sat still for a minute! Soon after this the water was on us all! What a tremendous boost he gave to all our workers! |

| AND MY GREATEST HERO IS ... ? |
That's my son Jon with me again! He's come for the whole summer! One day, eleven years ago (when I was so honored to help these children, but missing my own little son) the Lord told me that, someday, I'd be serving over here with my son! I didn't imagine in a sidecar!
Yes, Jesus IS my true hero! He loves me more than I could ever imagine and His promises are all TRUE! And now He's got me wondering, WHAT'S NEXT?!!! |

| THE HERO OF THE DUMP !!! |
This guy even looks like a hero! He's John Wright. He's about as real as you can get. You can follow all his amazing exploits on The Act Of Kindness Blog <-click here
I was in Kyrgyzstan with John, and his wife Julie, and just watched with my jaw dropping as they did beautiful things every day for the less fortunate. Their hearts are really just hanging out on their sleeves!
One of our workers, Larissa, has been taking them to the local dump to feed the people who live there. Zooming in with his camera, John, was shocked to find two beautiful children hiding in the trash! Small children, afraid that someone might find them and hurt them. But it wasn't "ordinary" people who found them that day!
That's Larissa, on the right, with the two kids, Marina and Valera (dressed in light brown), and another girl, Oksana, who walked TWO DAYS to find Larissa after her grandfather (caring for her) got very sick. The kids all have new clothes that John and Julie arranged ... and now a NEW HOME! Larissa has taken them in with her! Unbelievable! She's trusting God to help her help them. I say, "Let's help God to tell Larissa that she's HIS hero!"

| And The Secret Hero Is ... |
For several years we have exteneded our McJoyful program to the poor children of Central Asia (even though there are no McDonalds' there). In the town of Balikchy, thousands of children participate but almost all the parents are not Christian and don't attend church. So I sometimes wondered if we were REALLY making a big splash there.
While I was teaching at our college in Tokmok, I asked each of the students to tell me a bit about their lives. One young lady, Saadat (who did not know that I was involved with the McJoyful program) told us, "I lived in the city of Balikchy. My husband started to beat me and my children so badly that I decided to leave our home. I moved to another city to hide but I was depressed. Then I remembered the faces of the people who put on a Christmas party for the kids in our city. It seemed to me that they really cared, really loved. I wondered if there are REALLY people like that."
You can just imagine my thoughts as I listened. She went on to say, "Because of that memory I found a local church and just walked in and asked if they could help me. That day I started a new life!"
When I told Saadat that I wanted to take a picture with her and tell this story she got all dressed up so that you could all REALLY imagine what God is doing in her life! YOU are the secret heroes because you gave McJoyfully and believed that miracles would happen! |

My DEAR friends, thank you, SO much, for continuing to believe in miracles with me!
