"OPERATION CAN BE DONE" IS GOING STRONG!
Operation Can Be Done!
 Operations
 that will
 CHANGE
 childrens'
 lives have
 started!
 Watch for
 AMAZING
stories in the next (March) edition of
 Edventures!
There are over 100,000 orphans in Ukraine ... we are determined to change their world!

Last year I found out that doctors were writing "Operation can not be done" on the bottom of the orphans' medical reports ... simply because the kids did not have parents ...

We started "Operation Can Be Done" ... many have joined us to watch the miracles happen!
THE MIRACLE HEATER
Anatoly The Great!  My dear friend Anatoly is
  living on thirty dollars a
  month.  Sadly, over ten
  thousand seniors die every
  year in Kyrgyzstan from
  starvation and freezing to
  death.  We CAN change that!

  Dianne Hamilton, from
  Halifax, is an AMAZING
  Canadian who is helping us
to change Anatoly's life.  When I visited him in January he was huddled under the covers of his bed (at 2pm!) because he didn't have any heat in his house.  He was looking for scrap wood to burn in his old stove.

I asked if he'd like me to buy him a fancy shmantsy electric heater.  "No" he said, "Can't afford the electric bill."  I asked our local hero, Lena (she helps the seniors there) how much his electric bill would be, and she said, "Thirty dollars a month".  I told Anatoly, "You just got a new heater that runs on LOVE!"
HOUSING CRISIS?
House For Sale!  The church in Orlovka,
  Kyrgyzstan, is situated in
  a small apartment. When
I was there I met an elderly
  lady, Tanya, who was sitting
  in the small living room.
  She had come to warm
  up, because there was no
  heat in her apartment.  I
thought she had come for a
visit ... turns out she was
really there to save her life.

The pastor, Vera, was giving Tanya a hot meal as well.  Vera told me that she is praying for a miracle - **that they could have a house** - for Sunday services AND to help the elderly all week long.  I asked our local hero, Sergey, how much a house would cost.  He showed me one (in the picture above) and said it was $3,200.  I feel another miracle coming on!
