Welcome clients and friends! It's back to school time and the Fall edition of the Sunflower Staging newsletter is fully loaded with an article for you and more. We hope that this email finds you energized and ready to face the autumn season with new ideas and strategies to improve your productivity. Back to school always feels like a new year to me, even more so than January 1st. For those of you who co-habitate with children, September is a perfect time to focus on and maybe change some things that have not been working in the past, either at home or in your business pursuits. Fall is also a great time to take care of home maintenance items needing attention. Here are my suggestions for Fall fixes:
SUNFLOWER CHECKLIST FOR FALL
- make appointment to get furnace cleaned & chimney sweep if you have a fireplace
- window cleaning & repairs
- repair "slow" or clogged drains in bathrooms
- cleaning out closets and donating unwanted clothing & belongings to charity
- trimming bushes and plants in the yard before the cold weather sets in
- have clothes dryer venting checked, may need routine maintenance to avoid a fire hazard
- change all batteries in smoke detectors
- check all carbon monoxide detectors to ensure proper function
- sealcoat the driveway if needed
- bathrooms: recaulk as needed and replace worn toilet seats
- gutters and downspouts: repair or replace if necessary
- doors: lubricate all squeaky hinges; tighten loose doorknobs and cabinet pulls
- clean out personal papers and purge unneeded documents & files
