Margi Kyle, HGTV host & designer, did a fabulous presentation about the Dewey Color SystemŽ at the ADE conference. She reported to us that color gurus predict charcoal gray as a trend for 2009. Experts say that gray is thought of as the most grounding of all colors. To learn more about the Dewey Color SystemŽ by Dewey Sadka, you can take a FREE color test at www.wemakecoloreasy.com. Many designers use this test when working with clients. You can also check out his book called, "Dewey Color SystemŽ: Embrace Hue You Are." It's a remarkable concept in color mapping your personality and aptitude. Also, each color has a meaning, according to Dewey's system.
Trend colors since 2004:
2004 Turquoise = balance
2005 Orange = vitality
2006 Yellow Green = natural feeling
2007 Pink = urban feeling
2008 Yellow = respect for the past
2009 Gray = intellect & knowledge

Jane Pollak on Goals & Mastermind
During the ADE conference, I had the rare opportunity to attend a presentation by Jane Pollak called "Things I'd Wished I'd Known...when I started my business," which she offers as a teleclass on this and many other topics. Her definition of a goal is "a wish with a deadline." The attendees learned about what she calls a SMART goal. SMART means:
- S - specific
- M - measurable
- A - attainable
- R - realistic
- T - timely
