Umbrian Linens

Damasco RusticoMade by Tessitura Pardi well known for quality with evocative colors and designs from the runways of Milan to patterns reminiscent of Renaissance frescoes and Umbrian folklore. Collection includes hand towels, table runners, placemats and napkins.

Editor's Note

I've been tasting Tuscany for 14 years and never tire of the food, wine, art and design of a region of Italy described by D.H. Lawrence as "a country so perfectly constructed". My first experience in Italy was on a driving trip from Milan with "mia cugina" Lidia and her husband Roberto. We drove their 1996 Fiat along the twisting roads of Chianti (SS222 and 429) on our way to Siena. It was a memorable trip and the beginning of my "Italian education" that would lead to a book,    a business, a travel group  and an experience developing a taste for Italy and wanting more.

I'm bringing Italy home for this special event so that you can see and savor the Italy of my Italian family and friends and the generational producers I work with to source products for CosituttiMarketPlace.  Hope you can join us.

Italian Weavers

"The ideal of beauty runs through their veins: they live, breathe and exemplify the grand distinction of Made in Italy".            PRNewsWire

The weaving of textiles has been done in Umbria since the 12th century by the tessitori or weavers guild. Among the most famous traditional centers of looming and linens in Italy is the town of Montefalco in Umbria. Today traditional weaving techniques are still used by master weavers Tessitura Pardi to create timeless heirloom quality linens.

Generations old, family-owned Tessitura Pardi prides themselves on the skill, quality and tradition of their craft.
