Spring Cleaning Our Newsletter
Each year the ritual of Spring Cleaning becomes less and less. When I was growing up our house was turned upside down when the first warm days of April arrived. Windows washed, carpets cleaned, floors polished, furniture moved. Today Spring cleaning is a relic from the past. Most of my cleaning is confined to 10 minute blocks of time caught here and there like a romantic interlude but with much less pleasure. I find myself having to decide whether to clean out my e-mail in-box or to clean out my refrigerator. I don't particularly like having to make these choices. I wish I had more time to devote to cleaning and decluttering. I would rather spend time getting rid of a can of Spam in my refrigerator than deleting Spam off my computer.
Not wanting to contribute to your work load, I will keep future newsletters to a minimum both in content and frequency. I started this newsletter before Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, blogging and social networking became the common forum for exchanging information and ideas. Now most of us are Linkedin and keep in touch in a different way.
